Standard Machine Capabilities

All the machines in the Scope rental fleet will print, copy and scan all paper sizes up to A3, in colour and black & white.

All machines in the Scope rental fleet include what we call high speed dual scan or single pass. Dual scan will scan both sides of the document in one pass doubling the effective scan speed and putting far less stress onto valuable originals. The effective scan speed will be at least 160 images per minute.

Stapling

If this option is selected then the machine will be able to staple copy and print jobs up to 50 pages in size. You can choose to staple once in the top corner of the document or twice down the side or across the top of the document.

Hole punching

Note: Before selecting hole punching you must select a stapling option.

There are 2 hole punching options. 2/4 hole and 2/3 hole, and there is no limit to how many pages can be punched.

2/4 hole punching is the most common in Australia and is the preferred metric hole punching standard. Punched pages will fit into the majority of the binders available in Australian stationary stores.

2/3 hole punching is the none metric hole punching standard, mostly used in the USA.

Booklet Making

Note: Before selecting booklet making you must select a stapling option

The booklet making finisher will do the following.

It will fold A4 sized paper into an A5 sized document, commonly called a booklet. It will also staple the document down the spine. Limited to 20 pieces of paper which creates an 80 page booklet.

It will fold A3 sized paper into an A4 sized document, we call it a magazine. It will also staple the document down the spine. Limited to 20 pieces of paper which creates an 80 page booklet.

It will fold A4 sized paper into a DL sized document. Perfect for doing mail outs.

Paper Drawers

All machines in the Scope rental fleet come with 2 x 500 sheet universal paper drawers. A universal paper drawer is one that can take any paper size from A5 to A3 (sometimes up to SRA3). If the paper size is a standard paper size, A5, A4 or A3 the machine will auto detect this. But if it is a none standard size (custom size) then you simply enter the dimensions of the paper into the machine.

All machines have a 150 sheet bypass on the side. This is also a universal tray and can take all sizes from A5 to SRA3. It is ideal for printing onto envelopes, card stock or any paper not used all the time.

One option is to have 4 of the above universal paper drawers instead of the standard 2. All 4 drawers are the same.

Another option is to include a large capacity, 2500 sheets, paper drawer. This drawer only takes A4 paper.

All paper drawers can be loaded with your company’s letterhead which you can select from the print driver. All machines are floor standing and come on a pedestal with castors.

Faxing

If you have a published fax number, and a separate fax telephone line, you may need the fax option. It requires a separate fax line and will have no benefit if you are using an electronic fax system already. If you are still using faxing then adding the fax option may have other benefits above what a normal fax machine can do. Click here to speak to a consultant if you think this will help your business.
